Simple and easy way for your customers to get announcements on the Customer portal
Agents and admins often struggle with notifying their customers or exposing specific information to the customer portal. Portal Banners and Notifications allows agents and admins to quickly create powerful dynamic JQL-based banners and schedule text announcements. The basic location of the announcements is the customer project portal but the main help center can also be configured to show the announcements.
JQL banners are useful for showing certain groups of requests that the agent/admin wants to expose to their customers. Some examples are showing a list of the upcoming company events, a list of all active incidents in the office at the moment, showing the available assets that can be used, etc. Exposing requests will reduce the number of duplicate requests created in JSM as customers will know that such a request already exists.
Text banners are useful for sharing a piece of information to the customers right now or at a later period of time. All previously subscribed customers to Portal Banners and Notifications will receive an email every time a new text announcement is created or changed.
