Advanced Edition
Advanced Edition extends Advanced Portal Reports with additional capabilities for teams that need more control over how customers interact with requests directly from the JSM Help Center.
With Advanced Edition, JSM Help Center customers can not only view and analyze requests in the Advanced Report, but also perform selected actions when these actions are enabled and configured by a JSM project administrator.
What is included in Advanced Edition
Advanced Edition includes:
→ Editable fields in the Advanced Report
→ Editing restrictions based on request types and statuses
→ Controlled editing access based on users, groups, and organizations
→ Audit log export for field changes made from the report
Editable fields
Editable fields allow selected JSM Help Center customers to edit specific fields directly from the Advanced Report.
As a JSM project administrator, you can control:
→ which fields can be edited
→ for which request types editing is available
→ in which request statuses editing is available
→ which users, groups, or organizations can edit fields
Customers can edit only the fields and requests that are allowed by the configuration.
Editing fields in Advanced Report does not give customers Jira access and does not change which requests they can see on the portal.
Who can configure Advanced Edition
Advanced Edition can be configured by JSM project administrators from the Advanced Portal Reports Project configuration .
Who can use Advanced Edition
JSM Help Center customers can use Advanced Edition features only when:
→ Advanced Edition is available for the app
→ the feature is enabled for the project
→ the customer has access to Advanced Report
→ the customer is included in the editing configuration
→ the request matches the configured request types and statuses
If these conditions are not met, the report remains read-only.
Standard and Advanced Edition
Standard Edition
→ continues to provide reporting and visibility capabilities for JSM Help Center customers.
Advanced Edition
→ adds controlled actions on top of the existing reporting experience.
This means that JSM project administrators can decide whether customers should only view request information or also update selected fields directly from the report.
