As a JSM administrator, you can enable Modify My Request per project from the project settings of any Jira Service Management project.

Enable Modify My Request

→ FromAccess Project configuration you can show Modify My Request button on the Customer portal for the specific Jira Service Management project by clicking on the Enable Modify My Request on Customer portal checkbox.

Edit Modify My Request on the portal

By enabling Modify My Request button on the Customer portal, JSM Help Center customer can edit Summary and Description fields.

As a JSM administrator, you can monitor every edit from the issues in Jira. All updates are listed under an issue as comments.

Portal request cannot be edited;

  • if there is a resolution set for the ticket

  • if edits are disabled in Jira for this request status
