Modify My Request allows customers to edit fields to the Customer portal. The following supported fields to edit

Request fields that can be edited are:

  • Summary

  • Description

Note

If the JSM administrator have different configuration for Request form → has set specific restrictions for the request form fields in Jira, Modify My Request don’t respect it will override them.

For example:

→ If JSM administrator hide field from the portal

→ If JSM administrator configure field with preset value

→ If JSM administrator set different value name on itSummary or Description field has a default text set and customer is not allowed to enter their own text when creating the request, enabling Modify My Request will allow them to edit the default text.

→ If Summary or Description field is hidden and the customer is not allowed to fill it when creating the request, enabling Modify My Request will allow them to fill it.
